For &amp;lt;math&amp;gt;n = 0&amp;lt;/math&amp;gt;, &amp;lt;math&amp;gt;\mathbb{P}^n(\mathbb{C})&amp;lt;/math&amp;gt; is the one-point set. Hence, all its homotopy groups are the trivial group. The set of path components &amp;lt;math&amp;gt;\pi_0&amp;lt;/math&amp;gt; is a one-point set and can be considered the trivial group.&lt;br /&gt;

===Case &amp;lt;math&amp;gt;n = 1&amp;lt;/math&amp;gt;===&lt;br /&gt;

For &amp;lt;math&amp;gt;n = 1&amp;lt;/math&amp;gt;, &amp;lt;math&amp;gt;\mathbb{P}^1(\mathbb{C}) \cong S^2&amp;lt;/math&amp;gt; (a homeomorphism), i.e., it is the [[2-sphere]]. Its homotopy groups are hence the same as those of the 2-sphere. Specifically, they are as follows:&lt;br /&gt;
