Gluing lemma

Statement

A gluing lemma is a result which gives conditions on when a map whose restriction to two subsets is continuous, is continuous on the whole topological space.

There are two main versions of the gluing lemma:

• Gluing lemma for closed subsets
• Gluing lemma for open subsets
