This article defines a property of continuous maps between topological spaces
Definition
A homeomorphism is a continuous map between two topological spaces which satisfies the following equivalent conditions:
- It has a continuous inverse map
- It is bijective and open
- It is an isomorphism in the category of topological spaces with continuous maps
